The right art on the right wall does more than fill space — it settles the room, and settles you.

I love designing art statements! The best way to move creative energy throughout your space utilizes gentle emotional colors to uplift and energize you and your whole family at once. 

Among Wild Roses is a textural treat for the eyes with her silk ribbions, sequins, and felted floral elements! Shimmering turquoise lame contrasts beautifully with wool fibers and acrylic painted nuances. 

At 72" tall, she' life size! Installed without a frame, the feeling is upholstered uniqueness. 

I've seen a lot of dark blue walls this year! When the room feels like it's all blue, give her some relief with complimentary colors. Not just any colors, artistic healing colors that stimulate your automatic chakra response. 

The Cocoon triptych, a mixed media textile collage, jumps off from those deep blues with violet purples, then lifts the space gently (with a bit of dreamy drama) Hot pink, foral orange, and turquoise play together in silk, felted wool, and painted fibers.  Click the image to see more detail photos.

The Flourish Meadow diptych: Joyful Morning and Breath of Dawn pair perfectly over this king bed. Soft and gestural the pastel palette would compliment rooms in sage, soft aqua, lavender, blue, off white, and many grays. 

Stairwells present their own unique design challenges. All that open space up there can feel daunting on a twenty foot ceiling. This thumbnail sketch shows the beginning stage of a statement wall I am designing with three separate, but related artworks. 

Designing this began with a fun zoom call with my clients in which she gave me a tour of her home. I helped her assemble a custom curation of art pieces that she loves. Turns out she already likes pieces that would realistically 'go together.' 

The design begins as I sketch, aligning the art pieces into the architectural structure of her home. This foyer in particular has a dominant corner axis, which calls for  the tall art piece to anchor the entire installation.
